"I know I gave a 5 star review 2 years ago, but I wanted to give an update and little shout out to Diana who restored my faith in customer service today. Polite, courteous, knowledgeable, kind, helpful, give me a good, no, a stellar adjective, and that was my experience with Diana today. I was full on panicking because I thought I’d missed paying my homeowner’s insurance…that’s a bad spot to be in during hurricane season in Eastern, NC. Thankfully, I was still within the grace period. Whew! Additionally, I hate to admit this, but I was driving when I called (yes, hands free calling, of course), and she was supremely patient when she explained I needed to use my checking account information for NCJUA versus debit or credit card (otherwise they charge you an absurd percentage of the total amount - mine would have been $500+ just to use debit or credit!!!!) I was floored, and definitely thankful, she told me. How is that even legal?!? Highway robbery! NCJUA should be ashamed. A nominal fee is one thing, 3 some percent of the total amount?!? Come on! Anyway, I digress. Since I was driving on a major interstate hwy, it took me time to be able to get to a safe place to pull over in order to give my account numbers to her…Diana should win an award for her level of patience with me today! Not to mention my usual barrage of questions. I’m pretty sure I ask the same ones every year, but I can never remember, and ask again anyway…Someone needs to ‘bless my heart’ Haha! & yes I do know what that really means, LOL! I’m sure I deserve it for something! Haha! Seriously though, kudos to Diana, it seems like there is no such thing as customer service anymore, being able to experience that today while already panicky, was exactly what I needed. Not to mention…they actually answer the phone with real people the first time!!! Talk about customer service bliss!!! Please don’t ever, ever, ever change that,
details like that is what makes a truly good company. I can’t even talk to my pharmacist anymore (or die of old age trying - sigh) but at least I know I can talk about my insurance whenever needed (during business hours of course - they have lives too) with real people, people who actually care about their jobs. So rare. So appreciated, thank you!!!

"Christina Shepherd was fantastic. She followed up quickly on emails and calls. She gave us several options on all our policies for coverages. She was able to get us both auto and boat insurance down to half of what we were paying with GEICO with same coverage we had with GEICO. She even helped our daughter get a life insurance policy and still saved us 1/2 total of what we were paying GEICO even with new life insurance policy.

She was definitely easier to get a hold of then GEICO and I was able to speak to a live person instead of automation/AI and did not have to wait for long periods to hear back from anyone. She made the transition smooth in switching. Unlike GEICO who wanted everything in writing to cancel.

I am really impressed with this office staff and their dedication in assisting customers. I would definitely recommend Christina Shepherd and Timothy Sawyer’s office. As the staff and agents are absolutely wonderful and it was a pleasure working with each of them."
